Who (or What) Won't Ruin My Day Today?
We can decide it's up to us if another makes our day difficult.
I recently worked on a project with a colleague who frustrated me on a regular basis. My frustration level became so great this past week that I muttered to myself, “She ruined my whole day.”
After my mutter ended, I realized that I had let her ruin my day. That realization led me to create this week’s intention: Who won’t ruin my day today?
When we choose who or what impacts our day, we can take control over our day. I wasted so much time in frustration this past week. I could have simply ignored her, which would have saved me time and energy. Rather than engaging in frustration, I could have disengaged by reading her email and then simply choosing to ignore it.
This week, let’s remind ourselves we can choose how we spend our day by asking ourselves this question to begin the day: “Who (or what) won’t ruin my day today?”
