Sometimes, our worries feel like our constant companions, taking up so much space that we have little room for better company.
This week, let’s remind ourselves that we can choose better company than our worries. Our reminder can be the question we ask ourselves as we begin our day: Who can keep me company today?
When our worries become too loud and bossy, we can pivot to better company. We can make a phone call, check in on a neighbor, enjoy a conversation with a family member, walk the dog. Our good company reminds us that we are okay right now, that we have options, that our past successes can predict our right-now wins. With good company, we remember the positive.
We can silence our worries with good, supportive company.
Who’s your good company?
