Last week, I finally made a decision five years in the making. I decided to stop following an expectation I made for myself. When I made this perspective shift, I also stop following a colleague on social media.
Perhaps I spent too many years fretting about this.
Or, it just took five years for everything to align so that I could stop following in a peaceful, non-dramatic way.
This week, let’s consider who and what we can stop following, like:
Advice that doesn’t not apply to our situation and/or that just doesn’t work for us.
Individuals on social media who don't bring value to our day.
An expectation of ourselves that’s not realistic, helpful or compassionate.
We can remind that we have a choice about who and what we follow by asking ourselves this question to begin our day: Who and what will I stop following?
What will you stop?
