We often track what gives us stress. Let’s track what gives us happiness.
Numbers can seem to rule our day. We count the number of calories, we take note of the size of our clothes, we note how many likes our social media post received.
We can seem to come up short when we focus on these kinds of numbers.
Let’s decide to tally what gives us joy. We can keep track of the number of flowers we see popping up this spring, the amount of times we hear kids laugh, the times during the day when we can sit and relax. We can remind ourselves to pay attention to the numbers which bring us happiness by beginning the day with this question:
