Last week, I connected with family caregivers to help them talk about a plan for themselves after a family member’s medical diagnosis. During the conversation, an attendee talked about the help she receives from family members. She shared one is useless and one is helpful.
Her insights inspired me to think about a great question to ask ourselves, which is: What’s useful to me today? You also can ask, “Who could be useful to me today?” When we focus on what and who is useful, we simply ignore the useless. We give our energy to receiving what’s useful rather than wasting our energy in frustration over what’s not useful.
This week, begin your day with this question: What’s useful for me today? You’ll receive what helps.
What’s useful for you?
