When I think about losing weight, I often reflect on the emotional weight I carry that creates heaviness in my body and in my life. I ask myself:
Which relationship can I release because I feel at my worst in it?
Which habit takes away from my quality of life?
Which belief system holds me back rather than frees me to pursue opportunities?
Which discussions and decisions can I leave behind because the issue is not my business?
Sometimes, weight loss is about the pounds. Other times, it’s about deciding to end what makes life worse so I can step into a better life.
Let’s remind ourselves we can drop weight that isn’t ours to carry. We can begin our day with this question: What’s the weight I can lose?
