Core means “the part of something that is central to its existence or character.”
The definition reminds us that importance of caring for our core. With a strong core, we don’t break.
Let’s be more intentional about our core by naming what it contains. Our core could include our family and friends, our meaningful work, our belief system, our values and our priorities. We can modify the ingredients in our core as our life changes and as we evolve.
We can remind ourselves to stay true to our core by asking ourselves this question to start our day: “What’s my core?”
