All sports include someone — a ref or an umpire — making a call.
Often, the game can depend on the call that ref or umpire makes. In some moments, the players give over control of the call to that ref or umpire.
That’s a horrible feeling, that feeling of having someone else determine your fate.
So, let’s make sure we make good calls during our own game of life.
We can remind ourselves to make the right choices and decisions for ourselves by asking ourselves this question to start the day: “What’s my call?”
Sometimes, we can make a silent call, like not taking the bate when another tries to push our buttons. Other times, we can announce our call, like “I need a breather. I’m taking some quiet time for myself for the next 30 minutes.”
What’s your call?
