What's a Better Boundary?
A boundary can get old. Let's make sure our boundaries remain relevant.
I do my best to set expectations and boundaries for clients. I think I have it all figured out until a client makes a request or demand that throws me for a loop.
I never thought anyone would ask that much of me.
Until someone does.
When that happens, I go back to the boundary and reflect on what I can update, tweak and revise. One person may try to take advantage of me. I don’t let that one become many. With refreshed limits, I can strengthen my boundaries to continue to protect my time and my value.
We can remind ourselves to take another look at our boundaries by asking ourselves this question to start the day: “What’s a better boundary?”
Better boundaries become the best present we can give to ourselves.
When have you set a better boundary?
