So much about our day is an output — we care, give, tolerate, delegate, navigate, organize, resolve and communicate.
This week, let’s consider our input — what we can receive in any given moment and during each of our days. We can receive in short bites — just for a moment — or in longer chunks — for an afternoon. We can receive an emotion, like forgiveness, and an object, like a delivered pizza after a long day, and an insight, like a better way or an inspired idea.
We can create a habit when we need to receive, like taking a quiet moment to gather our thoughts and pinpoint our pressing need. We can create a ritual after we receive, like giving thanks.
