Last week, we took a Soul Break, our monthly 20-minute meeting to reflect and receive. During our meeting, which helped us take a break from anticipating, I asked this question to help us stay in the present rather than fret about the future:
What will center me today?
This question reminds me of the willow tree, which bends but does not break. The tree always comes back to center. We can find our center, too, by taking a few moments to sit in a comfy chair with eyes closed, by walking around the block or by listening to calming music.
When the stress will spin us, we can bend back to center by asking yourself this question: “What will center me?”
What centers you?
