I added strength training into my schedule, including walking with my weighted backpack for 20 minutes at least three times a week.
I initially started walking first thing in the morning until I realized walking when it’s still dark probably isn’t a good idea. (I don’t want to fall.) So, I’ve switched it up. Sometimes I walk when the sun just comes up, sometimes I walk after my work day when I have an early-morning work commitment.
Switching it up makes the habit easier for me to keep.
Let’s remind ourselves that flexibility — switching it up — can help us with our goals. We can remember this by asking ourselves this question at the beginning of our day: “What can I switch up today?”
