I often live with what’s broken rather than devoting a few moments to fixing it. When I take time to repair, I often wonder why I waited so long.
This week, let’s focus on repairing. We can remind ourselves we don’t have to live with what's broken by asking ourselves this question at the start of our day: “What can I repair today?”
We can repair:
a relationship by taking time to offer an apology
a broken dish by applying glue
our body with a walk
sore feelings by offering compassion
a goal that’s gone off track by recommitting.
With a focus on repairing, we can heal those breaks and hurts in our life that take away from our life. When we repair, we give to ourselves and, sometimes, to others.
What will you repair?
