I like to live a minimalist life. Yet, I still like the idea of being a collector, of keeping what holds significance for me.
For me, I like to keep what I write. I found some journal entries earlier this week, which really comforted me. I have time stamps for what life was like for me.
We can collect memories, items, ideas, recipes, songs, photos, plants, quotes and stories. We can store them electronically, in boxes and on our shelves. We can collect what supports, honors, delights and inspires. We can collect to bring us comfort during a difficult time and help us celebrate during good days.
We can remind ourselves to keep what matters most by asking ourselves this question to start the day: “What can I collect?”
What will you collect?
